Shayan Hassan Jamy

Shayan Hassan Jamy is a researcher whose work sits at the intersection of technology, politics, and security, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, nuclear deterrence, and the future of warfare. He holds a Master’s in Strategic Studies from Air University, Islamabad, and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from NUST, Islamabad, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Politics and International Relations at SOAS, University of London.

Prior to joining London Dialogue, Shayan held research positions at the Strategic Vision Institute (SVI) and the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies (CASS), Lahore, among other prominent Pakistani think tanks. His interdisciplinary background in both computer science and strategic studies gives him a distinctive analytical perspective on how emerging technologies, particularly AI, are reshaping international relations and the character of modern warfare.

Shayan has authored multiple research articles and book chapters published by King’s College London, the South China Morning Post, The Diplomat, and other international outlets, and has presented his research at conferences including at ISSI and KCL.

At London Dialogue, his work advances the institute’s research on emerging technologies and great-power competition.
