Ms Ghazala Yasmin Jalil is Research Fellow at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), where she has built a distinguished twenty-year career advancing research on arms control, disarmament, and strategic stability. She joins London Dialogue as a Non-Resident Fellow, contributing to both its research programmes and editorial work.

Ms Jalil is a recognised authority on some of the most consequential security challenges of our time. Her research addresses the weaponisation of outer space, the space-nuclear nexus, the role of artificial intelligence in nuclear command and control, and the broader intersection of emerging technologies with global security governance. Her work on nuclear competition in South Asia is particularly highly regarded, offering rigorous analysis of how hypersonic missiles, AI, and space technology are redefining the contours of modern deterrence.

With an extensive portfolio of national and international publications, Ms Jalil is a leading voice in shaping regional and global discourse on strategic stability.
