Dr. Kristian Alexander is a Dubai-based geopolitical analyst and former senior fellow at the Rabdan Security & Defence Institute and TRENDS Research & Advisory, Abu Dhabi. He is an advisor at Gulf State Analytics, a Washington-based geopolitical risk consultancy. Dr Alexander previously taught international relations and security studies at Zayed University (Abu Dhabi) as well as the University of Wollongong (Dubai) and is the co-editor (with Khalid AlMezaini) of the recently published edited volume (2026), Introduction to Gulf Politics (Cambridge University Press).
