Dr Eman Ragab

Dr Eman Ragab is a political science scholar, senior policy advisor and executive leader, with more than 20 years of experience of  work within the Egyptian government and international and regional organizations , and advising a range of national, regional and international entities. Through her career, she has led evidence-based policy development, strategic planning and policy initiatives.

In addition to her policy work, she has an academic career. She combines high-level policy expertise with legal knowledge on security policies in the Middle East and the Mediterranean regions, strategic planning, crisis management, conflict resolution , policy dialogue and peace building, counter  terrorism and transnational organized crimes policies.  She has published scientific work in indexed peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes in both English and Arabic, participated in international research collaborations, and is serving as a reviewer and associate editor for academic journals.  She is on the 2021, 2022, 2023 lists of the “10 most influential political science authors in the Arab world” issued annually by Arab Citation and Impact Factor ARCIF -E-Maerefa Database (https://cutt.ly/fMr0xiS).

Besides Dr Ragab  has been teaching in postgraduate programs in prominent institutions, including Cairo University, the American University in Cairo, ,the Egyptian Military Academy for Higher Education and Strategy, and Nayef Arab University for Security Sciences. She supervised numerous theses and contributed to the development of academic programs. 

Dr. Ragab has managed and coordinated various projects funded by international donors, engaging national and regional stakeholders. She is an expert member of the GI-TOC in Vienna,  and of the experts’ network of  the NESA Center at the National Defense University in Washington D.C.

She is apolitical science graduate from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University.  She received her M.A. and PhD degrees in international relations from the same institution.  She is a graduate of several advanced executive and leadership training programs from prestigious institutions worldwide.

She is now a visiting professor at the military academy for higher education and strategy, and the head of security and military research unit at al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies.  She is a member of the national committee on social science and humanities at the Scientific Research Academy –the Ministry of Higher Education  in Egypt.
