Binar Faeq Karim is an Affiliate Researcher at London Dialogue, specialising in Middle Eastern geopolitics, regional security, conflict dynamics, and strategic affairs. With more than a decade of professional experience spanning policy research, journalism, strategic communications, and media, he has developed extensive expertise in analysing political and security developments across the Middle East.
Binar holds a Master of Global Affairs with a concentration in International Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame, where he was awarded a prestigious Graduate Fellowship at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.
His research examines geopolitical competition, regional security challenges, conflict dynamics, and the evolving strategic landscape of the Middle East. His analyses have been published by leading international policy and research institutions, including the Stimson Center, the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy, the European Institute for Studies on the Middle East and North Africa (EISMENA), and the Jerusalem Strategic Tribune, as well as numerous Iraqi and Kurdish research institutions and media outlets.
At London Dialogue, Binar contributes research on Middle Eastern security, regional diplomacy, geopolitical competition, and conflict resolution, supporting the Institute’s mission to advance evidence-based policy research and strategic dialogue on international peace and security.
