London Dialogue (LD) is an independent research and policy platform dedicated to advancing strategic thought in defence and global security. Founded in the United Kingdom, the institute occupies a distinctive space at the intersection of academic analysis and policy practice, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to address the defining security challenges of our time.

The institute’s work spans military strategy, emerging technologies, and geopolitical dynamics, with particular depth in nuclear deterrence, hypersonic and missile warfare, artificial intelligence in conflict, and regional security across South Asia and the Middle East. London Dialogue produces rigorous, evidence-based research and convenes expert dialogue that is accessible to both scholarly and policy audiences.

London Dialogue values independence above all. We receive no direction from governments, political parties, or commercial interests in the conduct of our research. All findings and recommendations reflect the judgement of our researchers alone.

What We Do

London Dialogue conducts independent research, convenes expert discussions, and develops policy-relevant insights on critical issues in global security. Our activities include the production of policy papers, research reports, and expert commentary; the organisation of conferences, seminars, and strategic dialogues; advisory and consultancy services in defence and strategic affairs; and engagement with academic, governmental, and international institutions.
